beach is located 40 km to the west of Pathein (Bassein) in Ayeyawaddy
Division Chaungtha is beautiful beach in Myanmar, like Ngapali
beach.Chaungtha is a relatively new resort. The long, unspoilt
and almost deserted beach of purest white sand andcrystal-clear
blue water is one of the most beautiful sports in the world. |

Organizing Authority of 2004-Optimist Games |
| The
Championship will be organized by the Myanmar Yachting Federation
( MYF) in conjunction with the Yangon Sailing Club (YSC ) and
the Optimist Dinghy Association of Myanmar ( ODAM ) and will
be fully supported by the Myanmar Olympic Committee ( MOC ). |

Background & General Information |
| Myanmar
last hosted the 9th ASEAN Open Optimist Championship back in
1996 where a total of 8 countries, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines,
Singapore, Thailand and Myanmar from the ASEAN region, and Japan
and Pakistan from the non-ASEAN region participated. There were
a total of 50 sailors and more than 15 coaches from the representing
countries since we had a coaching seminar immediately prior
to the regatta.IODA sent a very experienced Danish Coach to
conduct the seminar.... |
