Real Man |
Rain
showers and running streams bring memories of a happy
childhood. As children, most of us had enjoyed floating
away little paper boats, folded from sheets of paper within
our easy reach. The little boats would be set out into
the current, and we'll stand and watch them with a great
anticipation, hoping to see them float away, with an even
kneel, into the distant horizon.Time flies, and those
childhood dreams have now became a reality as we sit at
the helms of our sailboats. But, with the passage of years
we have become too advanced in age to enter sailing competitions.

A Block of Brick, A Grain of Sand |
| Yachting
is not the type of sport that pays dividends quickly.
It has to be pursued diligently admit all kinds of difficulties. Thus,
the degree of success achieved under those trying conditions
is enormous. The ability to maintain this standard is
an even bigger responsibility. Our dreams of Gold, running
many years has now become real. We are most proud and
elated in this success, as partakers who had dutifully
contributed their efforts in building up to this climax,
filling into voids like a block of brick and a grain of
sand.... |

A Yatch, My Mate & Me |
Year
1989. For the past 12 years, I've been working with him
for the advancement of sport sailing. Together, we implemented
the National Policy and followed its guidelines towards
achieving this goal. Hand in hand, we organized a group
of sailing enthusiasts, and nurtured many young sportsmen.
Although most of us, for varying excuses, had to discontinue
our involvement with the cherished sport of sailing, he
marched on towards the goal,.... |

An Ex-instructor Jubilation |
| May
I extend my warmest congratulations to all the team members
and sponsors of the Myanmar Yacht team. My prayers for
more accomplishments extend to them. My special thanks
are reserved for U Moe Myint, whose resourceful leadership
and financial backing save our sailing club and the sport
of sailing from the grim prospect of sinking. To my regret,
this state of achievement was not reached during my tenure
as an instructor. However, I can take solace in the fact
that I have assisted in it by having instilled in the
